I learned a lot about myself on this trip as well. We decided I was going to take the bus home, because we "thought" it was going to be easier. Not only did the lose 2 of my bags, but the bus broke down in the middle of nowhere and we were stuck at a Mexican/American restaurant for over 5 hours waiting for another bus to come get us. Although I met some extraordinary people there was no shortage of people asking for cigs or cash. I met a homeless woman in her 70's and shared my hamburger and french fries with her, I wanted to package her up and bring her home with me! if I had the funds to get her a bus ticket I probably would have.
I was stranded at the bus stop in Kansas City Missouri for almost 14 hours, it was a long hard trip, but again I am home. So lots of new recipes coming your way, and lots of beautiful pictures I took while in colorado. My first love is cooking and my second is photography. While I was in Colorado my sister Sherri Walker made the best chili I have ever had! I will be posting that recipe soon and lots of canning recipes. Stay Tuned~
